Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Edition

****** SPECIAL NOTE:  THERE ARE ONLY 200 OF THESE UNITS IN THE UNITED STATES.  MOST ARE ALREADY PRE-SOLD!  OUR UNIT IS STILL AVAILIBLE FOR SALE ******

A nostalgic nod to the past...

Triumph proudly heralds its 110-year heritage with a limited edition version of the Bonneville T100.

This classically styled anniversary model is inspired by the livery of the first ever Triumph motorcycle of 1902. Sure to become a collector’s piece in its own right, the motorcycle is based on the 1902 T100 No.1 model, including an 865cc parallel Twin engine and wire spoke wheels that reflect the 1902 original specification.

The Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Limited edition has a nostalgic appeal and classic look, and only 1,000 have been manufactured. The traditional styling has been achieved with the use of an historic colour scheme and traditional accessories – for example the black painted chain guard will be substituted for a chromed part.

For this weeks bike I want to focus on our line of Kymco Scooters, mainly the People GT 300i.

If you’re looking for an affordable purchase that will cut your gas consumption in half (or more), as well as allow you to have some fun while doing it, then look no further.

The People GT 300i will haul this 215 pound guy down the road at 70 mph without a complaint or a struggle, all the while averaging about 65mpg. The fuel-injected 298cc, 4-stroke EFI SOHC 4-Valve engine makes about 30 horsepower and Kymco claims it will top out around 90mph, although I didn’t really push it past 70.

The CVT transmission operates seamlessly. Delivering consistent, smooth power to the rear wheel at all speeds. I was guilty a couple of times of grabbing what would have been the clutch on a motorcycle when approaching a stop sign only to find myself slamming on the brakes. I’ve gotta get used to that.

The People series all feature a well-organized instrument cluster, which includes a speedometer, tach, odometer, trip, clock, fuel and temperature gauge. Along with this there is a 12 volt accessory outlet and ample room under the seat for storage. That’s more than my 2005 Triumph T-100 offers me!

So if you’re not one of those people that can’t be lured into purchasing two-wheeled transportation without some serious justification, check out the People GT 300i as well as all the other scooters that Kymco has to offer.

I could see myself adding one of these to the garage once the shed becomes an actual garage. It would be my practical purchase stuck right in between the Interceptor and Bonneville T-100. Then again, I have never been one to need practical reasons to add two more wheels to my stable.
